Strain development筑波大学生命科学動物資源センターにて受精卵ゲノム編集により開発した。ジャクソンラボラトリー・ジャパンの C57BL/6J マウス。ホモノックインマウスにおいても目立った異常表現型は観察されていない。
Strain descriptionこのマウスは CAG プロモーター制御下で BMAL1-ビオチンリガーゼ(BirA*)融合タンパクを発現するマウスである。ROSA にノックインしていることからいずれの細胞系譜でも BMAL1-BirA*が発現することが期待され、脳、心臓、肝臓、腎臓、精巣組織において、BMAL1-BirA*タンパクの発現を確認している。近位依存性ビオチン標識（BioID）はタンパク質間相互作用の網羅的解析ツールの一つであり、本マウスを活用することで生体マウス組織において、BMAL1 タンパクの近位に存在するタンパクをビオチン標識可能である。
