Strain descriptionFoxp1は脊髄運動神経や心臓など、様々な組織の発生過程で発現する転写因子である。Foxp1には少なくとも２カ所のプロモーターがあり、それぞれ近傍にはレチノイン酸応答配列と予想される配列が存在する(RARE1およびRARE2と命名)。しかし、RARE1およびRARE2の機能は不明である。本系統は、ゲノム編集により、RARE1(17bp)とRARE2(17bp)を欠損させたマウスであり、RARE1とRARE2の機能を明らかにするために活用される。
