Strain development平成23年（2011年）に寄託者（西頭英起）の依頼により、(㈱)トランスジェニック社が作製した。C57BL/6コンジェニック系統。CAG-FLPeマウスとの交配によりFRTで挟まれた配列（Neo）を除去後、C57BL/6に10世代以上戻し交配を行う。その後、兄妹交配にて維持。
Strain descriptionDerlin-1は小胞体関連分解（Endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation : ERAD）に関わる小胞体膜タンパク質である。Derlin-1遺伝子の全身ノックアウトは胎生致死となる。本系統マウスはCre recombinase依存的にDerlin-1を各組織や細胞特異的に欠損することができる。
