Strain descriptionp16<Ink4a> はがん抑制遺伝子として知られており、様々ながん種において変異が頻繁に報告されている。一方で加齢とともに組織においてその転写発現が増加することも報告されており、個体老化との関連が指摘されている。本マウスはp16<Ink4a>のfirst ATG直下にHA-tagが挿入されている。p16<Ink4a>タンパク質の発現をHA-tagにより検出が可能であり、発がんや老化等の研究に有用である。
