Strain development開発者：岡山大学医歯薬学域 藤田洋史開発年：2018年入手経路：日本SLCよりBDF1マウスを購入し、受精卵をゲノム編集して、本マウスを作製した。KIアレルはDBA2由来。BDF1受精卵から得られたWTおよびゲノム編集マウスをとして、近親交配により維持された。正常に生まれ、見た目に際立った表現系はない。寒冷刺激24時間でEGFPタンパク質を発現する。通常の交配により繁殖可能。高齢になると肥満気味である。
Strain description内在性のUCP1 promoterでEGFPを発現するマウス。UCP1をGFPの発現でモニタリングできる（ただし、褐色脂肪組織において自家蛍光のためか蛍光は認められず、抗体によりwestern blottingやimmunohistochemistryにて検出可能）。UCP1のATGの11bp下流にEGFPがノックインされており、その後にstop codonがあるため、UCP1の代わりにEGFPを発現する。これにより、Homozygous mutantはUCP1を発現しない。
