Strain development北海道大学大学院薬学研究院生化学研究室　木原章雄により作製（2017年)。C57BL/6JJclの受精卵へIVL-3xFLAG-Cyp4f39トランスジーンDNAをインジェクションすることで作出。ファウンダーをC57BL/6JJmsSlc（日本エスエルシー）と交配して系統化。Cyp4f39 Tgマウス単独系統は明らかな表現型を示さない。Cyp4f39 Tgトランスジーンを持つCyp4f39 KOマウス（Tg-Cyp4f39 KOマウス）はドライアイ症状を示す。
Strain descriptionマウス脂肪酸omega水酸化酵素Cyp4f39 遺伝子のトランスジェニックマウス。IVLプロモーターの制御下で表皮特異的に3xFLAG-Cyp4f39遺伝子を発現する。交配によりトランスジーンが導入されたCyp4f39 KOマウス（Tg-Cyp4f39 KOマウス）は皮膚バリア機能が回復し，生存する。Tg-Cyp4f39 KOマウスはドライアイ症状を示す。ドライアイのモデルマウスとして治療薬開発への利用が可能。
