Strain developmentDr. Alexander Tarakovsky (Rockefeller University) により2005年に作製された。C57BL/6NCrSlcの使用。兄妹交配にて維持。Creを含まないマウスに異常はなく、正常に繁殖する。
Strain descriptionBlimp1 locusのexon 5前後に loxP siteが挿入されており、Cre発現下でBlimp1の機能が欠失する。Blimp1は生殖細胞や、B細胞の分化に重要な転写因子であり、任意のCreマウスと掛け合わせることでその機能解析に用いることができる。
