Strain development寄託者が作出。G0G1 (阪大微研の岡部勝先生が樹立, 129とB6のhybrid) で作成。129SvEvTac、C57BL6Jなどとのmixed background。tetO homozygoteは野生型として振る舞う。Actin-tTSと交配すると、難聴になる。
Strain descriptionNKCC1遺伝子の翻訳開始前にtetOカセットがノックインしてある(Tanaka KF et al., Biol Psychiatry 2010の方法に従う)。野生型マウスとして使用できる。tTAマウスと組み合わせればNKCC1過剰発現を、tTSマウスと組み合わせればNKCC1ノックダウンが可能になる(Watabe et al., Sci Rep 2017)
