Strain developmentDeveloped and deposited by Sunao Takeshita, National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontolog in 2019. This strain was generated with the CRISPR/Cas9. C57BL/6N genetic background.
Strain descriptionEmilin2はコラーゲン領域を持つC1qファミリーに属する分泌型基質タンパクであり、ノックアウトマウスは血小板の凝集に障害が生じることが知られている。破骨細胞の前駆細胞であるマクロファージで強く発現し、破骨細胞分化とともに発現が低下する。マクロファージから分泌されたEmilin2は骨芽細胞の遊走活性を促進することで骨形成を促進するカップリング因子として働く。マウスEmilin2の第1エクソン内の１塩基の欠損によりフレームシフトが生じ、Emilin2タンパクは欠損する。
