Strain development理化学研究所脳科学総合研究センター（当時）・糸原重美により開発。Ngl2 flox：C57BL/6J由来のCMT1-2細胞株BAC clone ID:「RP23-303M14」C57BL/6J（日本クレア）との交配により維持。年齢依存的に軽微な運動失調を起こす。
Strain descriptionMegf11(Multiple Epidermal Growth Factor like Domains 11)は細胞の分布制御に関与する膜タンパク質をコードする遺伝子であり、その遺伝子のプロモータ下にCre酵素の配列を繋げTgラインに、Ngl2（軸索に発現するnetrin-G2と結合するシナプス膜タンパク質の一つをコードする遺伝子）配列をCre条件ノックアウトするための系統である。多彩なNgl2の機能を細胞腫特異的に解析するために作成された。
