Strain developmentES細胞（TT2）に組み換えベクターを導入し、そこから得られた相同組み換え体からヘテロマウスを作出した。開発者：藤原智徳開発年：2008年C57BL6/Jに9世代戻し交配を行っている。
Strain descriptionSTX1Bは、神経細胞でシナプスの開口放出を制御するSNARE蛋白質の1つである。ホモへ変異体は生後14日までに致死となる。ヘテロ変異体は成熟し繁殖可能であるが、高頻度に痙攣発作を呈する。
