Strain developmentBruce4 ES細胞(C57BL/6由来)を用いて作製した。その後も、C57BL/6マウスを交配する事で維持している。The CBR instittute Biomedical Research, Harvard Medical SchoolのKlaus Rajewsky博士の研究室において寄託者によって作製された。Creトランスジェニックマウスと交配しない状態では特になし。
Strain descriptionTNFスーパーファミリーに属するサイトカインBAFFの受容体の一つBAFF-R遺伝子のエクソン3から5を二つのloxP配列で挟む事でCreリコンビナーゼ依存的にBAFF-Rを欠損させる事の出来るマウス。BAFF-Rは成熟B細胞の生存に必須であり、リガンドであるBAFFの過剰発現は自己免疫疾患を引き起こす事から、このマウス系統はB細胞の機能解析や自己免疫疾患の研究に有用である。
