Strain developmentDeveloped by Mika Tsujita, Brain Research Institute, Niigata University. RENKA ES cells derived from C57BL/6 were used to generate a strain (RBRC10054) harboring a floxed Aqp4 allele with the neo resistance gene. By crossing with a TLCN Cre mouse strain, exon 2, 3 and neo were deleted. C57BL/6 genetic background.
