Appearance
Strain development大阪大学・浜田博司博士の研究室において作製(2013年)B6/129由来のES細胞(G4)を用いて作出。ジーンターゲティングにより得られた細胞からアグリゲーション法によりICR由来細胞とのキメラマウスを作製した。C57BL/6系統と129系統のハイブリッド。CAG-creマウス（B6/129背景）との交配によりloxPで挟まれた配列を除去。現在のY染色体の由来系統はB6である。
Strain descriptionRsph4a遺伝子のexon2,3を欠損させたマウス。Rsph4aは、緑藻類クラミドモナスの鞭毛の運動装置であるラジアルスポークの構成因子Rsp4のマウスにおけるオルソログである。哺乳類の繊毛運動のしくみを研究する上で有用である。ホモ変異体において生後1週間から水頭症を発症。8週目までに9割のホモ変異体の個体が死亡。
