Strain development大阪大学・浜田博司研究室において、井川弥生技術員が作製。(2013年)B6C3F1同士の交配から得られた受精卵に、microinjectionして作出。F0♀(B6/C3H)にB6C3F1の♂を交配しF1♂を得た。この♂とC57BL/6J♀とでIVFを行い、F2♂を得た。Y染色体はC3H由来である。
Strain descriptionマウスNodal遺伝子のイントロン中に存在する転写因子Foxh1結合配列を７個つなげて、その下流にhsp-LacZレポーター遺伝子を結合させたトランスジーンを持つマウス。Nodal-Foxh1シグナルのレポーターマウスとして利用できる。世代を経ると、lacZ発現が突然弱くなったり消失する傾向がある。
