Strain developmentNkapl遺伝子破壊 ES細胞をKOMPより入手、キメラマウスを作製し、分離した。C57/BL6マウスのES細胞よりキメラマウスを作製しC57/BL6と掛け合わせ分離した。
Strain descriptionNkaplはNotchシグナルの下流に存在する転写調節因子として知られている。ホモマウスは正常に生まれてくるものの、雄では精子形成が不全で不妊症になる。雄性生殖細胞研究、精子形成、及びNotchsシグナル伝達の研究に有用である。ＮＵＬＬになると精子形成が不全になり、雄性不妊を示す。
