Strain development愛知県心身障害者コロニー発達障害研究所・東雄二郎先生（2008）。R1 ES細胞を用いて作出。CAG-Creマウス（C57BL/6）との交配により、neoカセットを除去。ICR背景（RBRC09239）、ICRとC57BL/6混合背景（RBRC09240）。
Strain descriptionSIP1 (Zeb2、Zfhx1b) 遺伝子のGFPノックインマウス。SIP1タンパクの3’側にgene-targeting法を用いてEGFPが挿入されている。生体内におけるSIP1タンパクのレポーターとして利用可能。SIP1は発生過程では、主に神経系で発現が高い転写因子である。ヒトにおいては、Mowat-Wilson症候群の原因遺伝子として同定されている。相同遺伝子として、deltaEF1 (Zeb1、Zfhx1a) が存在している。C57BL/6背景への戻し交配ではヘテロ型での維持が困難となることから、SIP1-EGFP融合タンパクはおそらくSIP1野生型タンパクと比較して、機能的に不完全であると予想される。一方、ICRや混合背景の場合はホモ型でも生存可能。
