Strain development京都大学大学院医学研究科・石井孝広（2002）。TT2 ES細胞由来。京都大学大学院医学研究科附属動物実験施設にて、中島則行（京都大学大学院医学研究科）によって維持された。C57BL/6およびICRへ戻し交配された（20世代以上）。C57BL／6背景（ライン1：RBRC06038、ライン2：RBRC06039）、ICR背景（ライン1：RBRC06040、ライン2：RBRC06040）。
Strain descriptionHCNチャネルの4つあるサブタイプの一つhcn4遺伝子の5’非翻訳領域に、大腸菌テトラサクリン耐性オペロンの転写調節に働くTetリプレッサータンパク質をコードするDNA配列を相同組換えで挿入し、HCN4プロモーター制御下でTetリプレッサータンパク質を発現するノックインマウス。Tetオペレータ配列の制御下に遺伝子発現する他のトランスジェニックマウスと掛け合わせることにより、HCN4発現細胞に目的遺伝子を共発現させることができる。ホモマウスは胎生期致死と予想される (出生してこない) 。
