Strain Information

Image
BRC No.RBRC05983
TypeTargeted Mutation CongenicCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameICR.Cg-Hes7<tm1Kag>
Former Common nameHes7 KO ; Hes7 KO/lacZ
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineTT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Ryoichiro Kageyama, Institute for Virus Research, Kyoto University in 2001. TT2 ES cells were used. The mutant mice were crossed to ICR.
Strain descriptionMost of the coding region was replaced with a IRES-lacZ-PGK-neo cassette. Most homozygous mutant mice die within a few hours of birth.
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [or Crossing to Slc:ICR]
