Strain development大阪大学微生物病研究所・上田　潤先生、山縣一夫先生（2012）。EGR-G101 ES細胞由来。
Strain descriptionDNAのCpGメチル化修飾を認識し、可視化するmCherry-MBDプローブをコンディショナル・ベクターによりROSA26遺伝子座にノックインしたマウス (Conditional MethylRO) 。プローブ上流にFRT配列で挟まれたNeo遺伝子が挿入されており、FLPマウスとの交配により、部位・組織特異的にmCherry-MBDが発現可能。赤色蛍光蛋白質を用いており、GFPに比べてSN比が高く、組織深部の観察により適している。RFP抗体を用いたMeDIP-seq解析により、このプローブがメチル化DNAを認識していることは検証済み。発生・分化過程及び発癌などの病態進行過程におけるDNAのメチル化修飾の動態解析に極めて有用である。生存性、繁殖性など特に異常は認められない。
