Strain development | Developed by Dr. Norihiro Okada, Graduate School of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2012. The transgene was injected into the pronuclei of B6C3F1 fertilized eggs. Three lines were generated : line A (RBRC05745), line B (RBRC05746), line C (RBRC05747) (main line). |
Strain description | AS071-lacZ transgenic mice. AS071, one AmnSINE1 locus is a distal enhancer for Fgf8 expressed in the developing diencephalon. The expression pattern of lacZ driven by AS071 resembles that of diencephalic Fgf8 (dorsal midline, lateral wall and ventral midline of hypothalamus). |
Colony maintenance | Carrier x Noncarrier [C57BL/6JJmsSlc] |
