Strain descriptionThis strain has been developed in ENU-mutagenesis Project in RIKEN GSC. A point-mutation in exon24 of polg (polymerase gamma) locus has found in the genome of a G1(DBF1) mutagenized founder mice by the gene-driven screen.This strain has been maintained by the full-sib mating for 3 generations. And then we produced mice from the intercross between the hetero (Rgsc625/+) mice, and screen the mice for phenotypic comparisons among 3 genotypes (Rgsc625/Rgsc625, Rgsc625/+ and +/+).
