Strain development1994年にフィリピンLos Banosで捕獲した雌雄各1匹の野生マウスから、名古屋大学大学院生命農学研究科動物遺伝制御学研究分野で兄妹交配により系統育成、2000年にF20に達する。開発者：山縣高宏先生フィリピンの野生マウスに由来する近交系　F34世代
Strain descriptionM. m. castaneus に属し、野生色で小型である (成体重20 g未満) 。M. m. domesticus由来の近交系マウスとの交配より様々な遺伝的変異を検出できる。
Colony maintenanceペア飼育で兄妹交配を行なっている。繁殖効率 B、初産日齢は3〜4ヶ月以降でリターサイズは3〜4匹。白内障を高発する。繁殖成績が低い。
