Strain development東京都医学総合研究所・松岡邦枝先生、米川博通先生。C57BL/6Jマウスの受精卵にTgをインジェクションすることにより作出。RBRC02767（ライン5）、RBRC02768（ライン14）、RBRC02769（ライン17）、RBRC02770（ライン33）、RBRC02771（scid背景、BBRC2013論文中の#70のラインと同じ）。
Strain descriptionジフテリア毒素投与により、標的細胞を選択的に破壊できるトランスジェニックマウス (標的細胞ノックアウト (TRECK法) ) 。相同組み換え法によりRP23-92L23上のIns2をhDTR (ジフテリア毒素受容体) に置き換えた改変BACを導入したBACトランスジェニックマウス。TgマウスはhDTRが膵臓β細胞で特異的に発現しており、ジフテリア毒素投与の投与により典型的I型糖尿病態 (多飲多尿、高血糖、尿糖、尿ケトン、インスリン依存性) 、膵島障害を呈する。
