| Species | Mus musculus |
| Strain name | B6;129-Xist<tm5Sado> |
| Former Common name | Xist<delta A>; B6.Cg-Xist<tm5Sado> |
| H-2 Haplotype | |
| ES Cell line | R1 [(129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl<+>] |
| Background strain | |
| Appearance | |
| Strain development | Developed by Takashi Sado, National Institute of Genetics in 2007. R1 ES cells were used to generate the mutant mice. A loxP flanked neo cassette was removed by crossing with cre mice (B6). |
| Strain description | Xist<delta> mice. The portion of exon 1 encoding the A repeat was deleted. Heterozygous mutant females with paternal mutant allele were embryonic lethality by non-random and abnormal X-inactivation. Tsix knockout (Xist<1loxGFP>)(RBRC01949), Tsix splising (Tsix<SA>)(RBRC01949), Xist/Tsix double knockout (X<dc>)(RBRC01950), Tsix<pA> (RBRC02653), Xist<IVS> (RBRC02654), Xist<delta> (RBRC02655). |
| Colony maintenance | Heterozygote (female) x Wild-type (male) [C57BL/6JJcl] |
