Strain development開発者/機関:Dr. Glenn Dranoff, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical school開発年:1998年入手経路:2005年2月にN9動物を入手D3 ES細胞を用いて作製されたノックアウト(129 x B6)をBALB/cに9代戻し交配をした状態で入手。その後BALB/cNTacに3代の戻し交配を行い、兄妹交配でホモ化した。
Strain descriptionIL-3は造血前駆細胞の肥満細胞、好塩基球の増殖因子である。ホモ欠損であっても交配の特性はBALB/cと同じである。接触皮膚炎や寄生虫感染時の肥満細胞の動因異常が報告されている。
