Strain development開発者：西藤公司先生機関：慶応義塾大学医学部皮膚科学教室開発年：2006年C57BL/6由来マウス受精卵の前核にマイクロインジェクションを行い、受容雌マウスの卵管内に移植して受容雌マウスの帝王切開によりSPF化。その後兄妹交配にてホモ接合マウスを作出／維持。
Strain descriptionケラチン14 (K14) は主に重層扁平上皮の基底細胞に発現する中間径線維であり、細胞骨格となると共に細胞接着装置であるデスモソームの細胞内領域と結合する。本マウスはヒトK14全長のN末端に赤色蛍光色素DsRed2を融合したタンパク質を重層扁平上皮の基底層に発現する。デスモソームの細胞接着機能ならびに自己免疫性水疱症の病態発症機構の解明に有用である。
