Strain developmentIn 2001, transgenic mice (Tg(PCP2-Grid2)) lines were established by injection into fertilized FVB/N mouse eggs by the donating investigator at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.In 2002, the transgenice mice were bred on GluRδ2-/- background by crossing with B6-Grid2tm3Mish lines(RIKEN BRC No.01657).
Strain descriptionThe transgene(Grid2), which encodes the wild-type δ2 glutamate receptor, is expressed specifically in cerebellar Purkinje cells by a PCP2 promoter.
Colony maintenance繁殖効率:AThe mice are supplied as homozygotes for the transgene(Tg(PCP2-Grid2)) on GluRδ2-/- background. Therefore, when crossed within a colony, no genotypings are necessary.
