Strain descriptionCompound mice conditionally targeted for Numb and Numblike (loxP; for nomenclature of the alleles: lox) ; the selection marker in Numb (loxPneoRloxP) and Numblike (FRTneoRFRT) was deleted by Cre and Flp recombinase, respectively. The mice ready for shipment to RIKEN BRC carry at this point the conditional alleles over a non-targeted, wild-type allele [lox/+]; absence of the transgene FLPe should be reconfirmed in their progeny.Purpose of these conditional alleles: functional analysis of the Numb and Numblike proteins in mice by their conditional ablaion through expression of Cre recombinase.
Colony maintenanceEfficient breeding is expected for these compound mice once homozygous for each conditionally targeted allele (Numb[lox / lox]; Numblike[lox / lox]) as they were efficient breeders when the compound homozygotes still carried FRTneoRFRT in both Numblike lox alleles.

1) The RECIPIENT agrees to use this BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE as a collaboration with the DEPOSITOR. Furthermore, the RECIPIENT agrees to include the DEPOSITOR as a co-author in any publications resulted by the use of the BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE in research projects initiated during the first 2 years after deposition by the DEPOSITOR to the RIKEN BRC.
2) Further, the RECIPIENT must inform the DEPOSITOR about the research project using the BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE and must obtain a prior permission from the DEPOSITOR to avoid the conflict of interest with the DEPOSITOR.
3) Furthermore, prior to filing an application for a patent, or intellectual property or other rights based on the results of research using the BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE, the RECIPIENT shall acquire the consent from the DEPOSITOR for such application.
