Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Yumiko Saga (2002). The transgene fragment was injected into the pronuclei of B6C3F1 fertilized eggs. This strain was maintained with ICR background.
Strain descriptionNotch1, Notch gene homolog 1 (Drosophila) is imortant in establishing metameric pattern during somitogenesis. This transgenic mouse expresses the active Notch1 gene after mating with a cre transgenic mouse. This strain are useful for elucidation of the Notch-signalling mechanism underlying initial segmentation in the presomitic mesoderm.
