Strain development | Developed by Dr. Yumiko Saga (2002). The transgene fragment was injected into the pronuclei of B6C3F1 fertilized eggs. This strain was maintained with ICR background. |
Strain description | Notch1, Notch gene homolog 1 (Drosophila) is imortant in establishing metameric pattern during somitogenesis. This transgenic mouse expresses the active Notch1 gene after mating with a cre transgenic mouse. This strain are useful for elucidation of the Notch-signalling mechanism underlying initial segmentation in the presomitic mesoderm. |
