Strain descriptionDspdはトランスジーンの挿入変異である。ヘテロ雄は精子形態形成不全を示し、不妊である。未成熟精子細胞のセルトリ細胞からの剥離が観察される。セルトリ細胞一精子細胞間相互作用の研究に有用である。
Colony maintenanceヘテロ雄は通常交配では不妊である。Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)により精子細胞から産仔が得られる。ヘテロ雌は通常の交配により妊娠、出産するが、染色体転座の影響から一出産あたりの産仔数は少ない。
