BRC No. | RBRC01105 |
Type | Targeted Mutation |
Species | Mus musculus |
Strain name | B6.Cg-Sema3a<tm1.3Tyag>/TyagRbrc |
Former Common name | semaphorin III/D (lacZ) Targeting mice |
H-2 Haplotype | |
ES Cell line | TT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1] |
Background strain | C57BL/6NCrlCrlj |
Appearance | black [a/a B/B C/C] |
Strain development | Developed by Masahiko Taniguchi and Takeshi Yagi, National Institute for Physiological Sciences in 1997. TT2 ES cells were used. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6 over 5 times. |
Strain description | Semaphorin III/D (Sema3a) knockout mice (lacZ reporter). Most of homozygous mice in C57BL/6 genetic background are lethal. About one-tenth of the homozygous mutant mice of ICR background survived (Depositor, personal communication). |
Colony maintenance | Heterozygote x Wild-type [or Crossing to C57BL/6NCrlCrlj] |
