| Strain development | Developed by Dr. Hajime Fujisawa, Nagoya University in 1997. A neomycin selection cassette was inserted into a fragment of the sequence encoding the a1 domain of the protein. ICR background. |
| Strain description | ICR.Cg-Nrp1<tm1Hfu>. Neuropilin-1 (Nrp1) is a type I membrane protein and has been shown to function as a receptor for semaphorin III/D. Nrp1 homozygous mutant mice were embryonic lethal, and show severe abnormalities in the trajectory of the cranial and spinal efferent fibers of the parasympathetic nerve system. |
| Colony maintenance | Sibling Mating (Heterozygote x Wild-type, Heterozygote) or Cross to ICR (Heterozygote x Slc:ICR)Embryonic lethality (Homozygous). Homozygote mutant mice die up to E11. |
