Strain developmentDeveloped by Drs. Naoko Minegishi and Masayuki Yamamoto, Center for Tukuba Advanced Research Alliance, University of Tsukuba in 2003. GFP was inserted in exon 2 of the Gata2 gene (Blood, 2003).
Strain descriptionB6;129P2-Gata2<tm1Mym>. GFP knock-in mice in the Gata2 locus, replacing the endogenous Gata2 coding sequences in the second exon. GFP expression was observed in the early hematopoietic tissues. Homozygous mutat mice are embryonic lethal (E11.0).
