Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Kazuhiko Koike, Graduate School of Medicine, The Tokyo University of Tokyo in 1995. The mice were generated by using CD-1(ICR) and then backcrossed to BALB/c for 8 times.
Strain descriptionThis transgenic mice express HCV envelope proteins. Both Tg homozygous and hemizygous mice are viable and fertile.
