| Strain description | Qk (quaking) gene knockout mice. The initiation codon and first 40 amino acids of a highly conserved QUA1 domain of Qk gene were replaced with an IRES and a betageo fusion gene. Homozygous mutant mice die in utero E9.5 and E10.5. |
