Strain development1993年から1994年にかけてカナダ・オンタリオ癌研究所・T.W Mak研究室において鈴木治彦先生の手によって作製された。
Strain descriptionインターロイキン-2受容体beta鎖遺伝子をジーンターゲティングにより破壊した。ホモ接合体マウスは異常なT細胞の活性化と自己免疫症状を呈し、早期に死亡する。
Colony maintenanceホモ接合体マウスは、雄雌ともに不妊であるため、ヘテロ接合体での系統維持が必要。各変異マウスの同定には尾より抽出した、DNAのPCR解析を要する。繁殖効率：C
