Strain descriptionマウス第9番染色体と第15番染色体のロバートソン型転座を持つ染色体変異系統．1977年，国立遺伝学研究所の森脇和郎，峰澤満博士により小笠原諸島 (父島) にて捕獲された野生マウスに由来する．捕獲された野生17個体はこの染色体転座を持つとともに染色体C-バンドはMus musculus domesticus型，ミトコンドリアDNAはM. m. molossinus型の亜種間雑種であった．その後，BALB/c系統に転座染色体を導入し，育成した系統である．
Colony maintenance兄妹交配による。繁殖は良好。
