Strain description遺伝性多発性外骨腫の変異 (Asp227→Asm)を導入したEXT2遺伝子が軟骨細胞と特異的に発現している。上記の変異を持つEXT2を過剰発現しても、ヘパラン硫酸量の増加、骨形成の増大は認められない。
Colony maintenanceLacZ遺伝子が同様に軟骨細胞特異的に過剰発現している。飼育、交配、繁殖は正常。
