Strain development1979年，日本クレアよりSHR/Jcl- Re/+-shm/+を購入，系統維持を開始する（織田銑一，名古屋大学環境医学研究所）．F40を経た後，繁殖困難なため，C3H/HeNem-ruf/+♀と交配をする（1998年）．現在，名古屋大学大学院生命農学研究科（織田銑一）において維持されている．
