Strain developmentSL系統はSwiss miceの交雑群に由来し,白血病高発系統として遺伝研の土川博士によって育成された.その後,九大で4つにサブライン化された.SL/Khはそのうちの一つ.その後,愛知県がんセンターを経て(+F35),埼玉がんセンター(志佐博士)へ導入されたのち(+F54-55),理研BRCへ導入された.白血病高発系統.連産性は低い.3カ月程度で精子が採取できなくなる.飼育過密が高いと癌を高発する傾向がある。
Strain descriptionSL/Khは内在性レトロウィルスのプロウィルスの挿入による遺伝子の活性化によりリンパ腫を発生する.SL/Khの一部のリンパ腫はプロウィルスによりStat5aがさまざまな遺伝子を活性化し,かつ多くの因子と対応することによって,Pro-B細胞の腫瘍増殖によるものであることが明らかになっている.B細胞の初期分化過程とそのガン化を研究する上で有用なモデルマウスである.
