Strain developmentSaga Y et al. (1992)により作成されたテネイシン欠損マウスにおいて発生に異常が認められず、テネイシン機能の重要性が疑われた。遺伝背景の影響が大きいと考え、代表的近交系マウスへのコンジェニック化を1991年から開始した。開発者:日下部守昭先生。真核生物研究室所属当時から開発を開始。Tnc(-/-)同士の兄妹交配。繁殖効率はA。実験群作出にはB6/N との交配必要。繁殖効率はB.
Strain description細胞外基質テネイシンの機能解析のためのテネシイン欠損マウス系統。C3H/HeNCrj系統は代表的な近交系。MMTVによる乳癌高発系統。肝癌の発生率も高い。癌の増殖、転移機構におけるテネイシン機能の解析。創傷治癒の機構解析。細胞接着、細胞間相互作用。毛色はagouti。
