Strain description | The Zic1 gene is known to have important roles in the cerebellar function. In this strain protein coding region of Zic1 exon 1 was replaced by PGK-Neo gene by homologous recombination in J1 ES cells.Genotype of Affected Mutation:Zic1 null heterozygous. |
Colony maintenance | Backcrossing to C3H/HeN. Or sister-brother mating of heterozygotes. Breeding performance is good. The mice are provided as heterozygous breeder pairs. |
