Strain developmentパスツール研究所より導入したオルレアンリーラーをBALB/c-Tnc<tm1>に導入したダブルミュータント。開発者:日下部守昭先生。reeler ホモ個体は運動障害、歩行異常、成長不良なのでヘテロで維持。繁殖に使えるホモ個体もある。精子、卵子は正常なものが採取可能なので体外受精による個体作出ができる。Tncはホモ欠損で維持する。兄妹交配。繁殖効率はA。
Strain descriptionReelinはEGF様モチーフをもつ巨大な分泌型細胞外蛋白で小脳の顆粒神経細胞、大脳では初期のパイオニア神経細胞に強く発現し、神経組織の層構築に重要な分子である。一方、テネイシンも同じくEGF様モチーフを持つ細胞外マトリックス蛋白質で両者の組織分布は重複する部分が大きい。こうした細胞外蛋白の神経系機能における役割の解析に有用である。
