Strain descriptionTypically it express preaxial polydactyly with hyperpharangy in hind limbs. Progeny show various duplication which ranged from thickning of thumb to resulting seven digits on a foot and tibial hemimelia. Occasionally fore limbs show mild polydactyly. Some progeny show cystic kidney. [Modified SHIRPA, Q45=2, Q46=2] A point mutation was found in MFCS1 that is cis regulatory region of Shh (Sagai et al Mammalian Genome 15 23-34 (2004)).
