Strain developmentIn 2001, transgenic mice (Tg(PCP2-Grid2R/K)) lines were established by injection into fertilized FVB/N mouse eggs by the donating investigator at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.In 2002, the transgenic mice were bred on GluRδ2-/- background by crossing with B6-Grid2tm3Mish lines (RIKEN BRC No.01657).
Strain descriptionThe transgene (Grid2R/K), which has a mutation in the putative ligand binding site of the δ2 glutamate receptor, is expressed specifically in cerebellar Purkinje cells by a PCP2 promoter.
Colony maintenance繁殖効率:AThe mice are supplied as homozygotes for the transgene (Tg(PCP2-Grid2R/K)) on GluRδ2-/- background. Therefore, when crossed within a colony, no genotypings are necessary.
