Strain developmentMus musculus molossinusに属する（モロシヌスマウス）．埼玉県立がんセンター研究所、松島芳文博士により寄託．埼玉県岩槻市にて捕獲された野生マウスをもとに系統育成が開始された．毛色遺伝子はAw（white-bellied agouti）を有する．日本産野生マウス系統で関東地方由来の系統は他に無く，遺伝的資源として貴重である．
