| Strain development | Deposited by Yusaki Nakabeppu, Kyusyu University in 2022. This strain was generated using CCE/EK.CCE ES Cell derived from 129S/SvEv-Gpi1<c> and then mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J for 23 generations. C57BL/6J congenic strain. |
| Strain description | Three bases (GAGGTGAGA->GAAGTTCGA) in the alternative splicing donor site and two bases (AGTGAA->TCTGAA) in the splice acceptor site were modified via homologous recombination to prevent expression of the long transcript while retaining expression of the shorter transcript. A floxed neo cassette was also inserted in intron 3. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. This allele lacks expression of the deltaFosb isoform. |
