Strain development | Developed by Tsuneyasu Kaisho, Research Center for Allergy and Immunologuy, RIKEN around 2009. |
Strain description | Arginase 1, ARG1, is an enzyme in urea cycle and generates ornithine and urea from arginine. In type 2 inflammation, ARGI expression is known to be increased in macrophages. ArgI-KikGR mice were generated by knocking a gene encoding a photoconvertible green-to-red fluorescent protein KikGR into the murine ArgI gene locus. |
