Strain developmentDeveloped by Kazuhiro Ikenaka at National Institute for Physiological Sciences in collaboration with Kenji Sakimura at Niigata University. RENKA ES cells derived from C57BL/6N were used to generate this strain. C57BL/6N background. Homozygous mice are viable and fertile.
Strain descriptionKnockin mice in which a STOP-tetO cassette was placed upstream of the translation initiation site of the Ctsc (Cathepsin C) gene.Inserted DNA cassette contains loxP-FRT-Neo-poly A-FRT-tetO-loxP. Frt-flanked Neo-polyA cassette was removed by Flp.
